New York, NY (May 30, 2016) – Xsight Systems, a developer and provider of advanced runway sensor solutions, announced today the joining of Vandewater Capital Holdings as its first American investor, providing growth capital to the Company.
Xsight Systems has developed an advanced runway management solution that is improving the day to day operation of the runways whilst increasing runway safety, capacity and efficiency. The flagship technology, RunWize™, based on FODetect®, is a unique solution collocated with runway edge lights and utilizes a combination of millimeter wave radar and image processing to best detect FOD, birds, wildlife and monitor runway condition and activity.
FODetect is operational and protecting aircraft operations at Seattle Tacoma International Airport, Boston Logan International Airport, Tel Aviv Ben-Gurion International Airport and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport. FODspot™ subsystem has been acquired by Paris’s Charles de Gaulle International Airport.
