Project description– operational since 2016

Xsight’s RunWize was successfully installed, tested and deployed on runway 16/34C at Tacoma International Airport, Seattle (SEA). SEA is the 2nd airport in the U.S with an automated FOD detection solution.

RunWize™ was installed on schedule during a major runway reconstruction therefore had no effect on runway operations.

Since it’s commissioning at Tacoma International Airport, Seattle, RunWize has detected numerous hazardous FODs, burst tire debris, birds and wildlife carcasses.

RunWize’s BirdWize is fully integrated to the Wildlife Management Program providing the airport with wildlife and birds detection and deterrence capabilities, extensive data base and data analysis reports.
